บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อทราบคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ตามความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย วิทยาเขตศรีล้านช้าง และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ตามความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย วิทยาเขตศรีล้านช้าง จำแนกตามเพศ อายุ ชั้นปีที่ศึกษา ประเภทนักศึกษา และสาขาวิชาที่ศึกษา

                   ผลการวิจัย พบว่า คุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ โดยสรุปตามความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษา ข้อที่ 8 ความว่า มีความรักและศรัทธาในอาชีพครู มีความสำนึกและตระหนักที่จะเป็นครูอาจารย์ที่ดี มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด โดยมีค่า =4.23 ค่า S.D.=0.58 รองลงมาคือ ข้อที่ 4 ความมีวินัย ปฏิบัติตามกฎและระเบียบของหน่วยงานและทำงานที่เป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีแก่ผู้อื่นได้ มีค่า =4.18 ค่า S.D.=0.56 และประการที่ 2 มีความยุติธรรม มีความเป็นธรรมต่อผู้เรียน เอาใจใส่ผู้เรียนทุกคนอย่างสม่ำเสมอ ไม่ลำเอียง มีค่า = 3.93 ค่า S.D.=0.57 มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด

        ผลการเปรียบเทียบระดับความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ พบว่า นักศึกษาที่มีเพศต่างกัน มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ ไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05 ส่วนนักศึกษาที่มีอายุต่างกันมีระดับความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของอาจารย์ โดยรวมทุกข้อแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 นักศึกษาที่เรียนอยู่ชั้นปีที่ศึกษาต่างกันมีระดับความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของอาจารย์ โดยรวมทุกข้อแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 นักศึกษาที่เรียนอยู่ภาคการศึกษาต่างกัน มีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์โดยรวมทั้งทุกข้อแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05 นักศึกษาที่เรียนในสาขาวิชาต่างกัน มีระดับความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของอาจารย์ โดยรวมทุกข้อแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.01 เมื่อทดสอบความแตกต่างของระดับความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ โดยรวมทั้งทุกข้อเป็นรายคู่ พบว่า กลุ่มสาขาวิชาการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ มีระดับความคิดเห็นต่อคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์มากกว่ากลุ่มสาขาวิชารัฐศาสตร์การปกครอง ส่วนสาขาวิชาพุทธศาสตร์ไม่มีความแตกต่าง

                  นอกจากนี้นักศึกษายังได้เสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับคุณธรรมจริยธรรมที่พึงประสงค์ของอาจารย์ ได้แก่ 1) อาจารย์ต้องเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้กับลูกศิษย์ด้านความประพฤติ ความซื่อสัตย์ ความเพียร ความอดทน และการทำงาน ไม่เฉพาะในมหาวิทยาลัย 2) อาจารย์ควรให้ความเป็นกันเองกับนักศึกษา ไม่ถือตัว 3) อาจารย์ควรพูดคำสุภาพ อาจารย์ไม่ควรเคร่งเครียดมากจนเกินไป ไม่ควรทำให้นักศึกษาเครียดในการเรียนมากเกินไป

ABSTRACT

          The objectives of the research were to study desirable morality and ethics of lecturers in Mahamakut Buddhist University, Srilanchang Campus (MBUSLC), through opinions of MBUSLC students, and to compare desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lectures through opinions of MBUSLC students, classified by their gender, age, class, status and major subject.

            The research findings were found as follows: 1. The eighth item “Having love and faith in the teaching profession and awareness of a good teacher” of desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers through opinions of MBUSLC students was found to be at the highest level of the mean (  = 4.23, S.D. = 0.58), followed by the fourth item “Holding discipline, conducting the organizational regulations and playing a role model for others” (  = 4.18, S.D. = 0.56); and the second item “Having justice and fairness, and paying attention to all students without biases” was found to be at the lowest level of the mean (  = 3.93, S.D. = 0.57)

The comparison of opinions of MBUSLC students with different gender on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers was found not to be different at a statistically significant level of .05. The comparison of opinions of MBUSLC students with different age on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers was found to be overall different at a statistically significant level of .01. The comparison of opinions of MBUSLC students with different classes on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers was found to be overall different at a statistically significant level of .01. The comparison of opinions of MBUSLC students with different major subjects on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers was found to be overall different at a statistically significant level of .01. The test of paired differences was found that opinions of MBUSLC students majoring English Teaching on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers were found to be higher than those of MBUSLC students majoring political science; but not to be different from those of MBUSLC students majoring Buddhism.

Besides, recommendations of MBUSLC students on desirable morality and ethics of MBUSLC lecturers were that 1) MBUSLC lecturers should be role models of good behavior, honesty, perseverance, patience and working for their students, 2) MBUSLC lecturers should be friendly and readily accessible, and 3) MBUSLC lecturers should speak politely, not be too serious and not place pressure on students.
